- preheat oven to 180°c. heat oil in large flameproof pot and brown meat.
- take out meat and add onions and cook till the just soften, stir all the time.
- add celery carrots and spuds and cook for few mins until they colour.
- stir in flour then add beef stock and guiness, stir until well mixed, bring to boil, stir constantly.
